The Too Grown To Pretend Podcast
The Too Grown to Pretend Podcast is hosted by Chipo and Regina. Two very different women, who are clumsily building a friendship in real-time, with a microphone in the room. They talk about navigating faith, family, and Zim-life in a constantly changing world, with all the random thoughts that are sure to pop up along the way.... because neither of them have a filter.Their dialogue promises to be peppered with hilarity, strong opinions…and a fair amount of hyperbole! They hope that their conversations will reveal things about friendship, each other, and the world we live in. And that ultimately, the way they engage with honesty, vulnerability, and a sense of humor in this friendship will encourage their listeners to do the same in their own relationships.

Too Grown To Pretend: Our Lent Experience is Graciously Complicated
•
Chipo Chikara Nyoni and Regina Chari
Chipo and Regina talk about their individual journeys through the sacred season of Lent this year. The lessons, the gentle and gracious convictions, and the significance. Lent is about sacrifice and the authentic display of our weakness. Whether you are giving up swearing or sugar, it won't be easy and you won't do it perfectly. And so Lent reminds us that the more honest we are about our frailty, the more hope we experience in our relationship with Jesus.
Grown Folk, do you observe Lent or something like it? What do you give up or take on during that time?
